Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website.
This site serves as my living CV—a space where I showcase my work in journalism.
Here you’ll find examples of my writing, reporting, and multimedia projects. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out using the contact details provided below.
My name is Alex Worth, and I graduated from Southampton Solent University in July 2024 with a BA in Sports Journalism (Upper Second-Class Honours). I am a passionate sports enthusiast with a particular love for cricket and baseball, and I proudly support the New York Mets and play regularly for my local cricket team.

My journey into sports journalism began in 2015, when I watched my first baseball game with my dad and brother. Soon after, I responded to a call for writers at MetsMinors.net, a site covering the Mets’ minor league system. After contributing articles, match reports, and player profiles, I was invited to write for MetsMerized.net, the largest independent Mets news platform.
These experiences confirmed my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism and inspired me to study the subject formally at Solent.
At university, I had the privilege of learning from outstanding lecturers and collaborating with talented peers. My studies expanded my understanding of journalism beyond the written world, giving me hands-on experience in video, radio, and photography. You’ll find examples of this diverse body of work throughout my portfolio here.
